Canadian Slavonic Papers
Our Journal
Canadian Slavonic Papers / Revue canadienne des slavistes (CSP/RCS), founded in 1956, is a quarterly, interdisciplinary journal of the Canadian Association of Slavists, publishing in English and French.
CSP/RCS is devoted to problems of central and eastern Europe and the part of Asia formerly belonging to the Soviet Union. It is a forum for scholars from a range of disciplines: literature, history, the visual and performing arts, philosophy, language and linguistics, political science, sociology, anthropology, geography, and economics. It is the only interdisciplinary scholarly outlet for Slavists in Canada and one of the major journals in the field globally. It has an international readership and subscribers.
All manuscripts submitted to CSP/RCS are subject to double-anonymous refereeing. Unless special arrangements have been made with the editors, only previously unpublished manuscripts that are not under consideration by another journal are considered.
CSP/RCS currently has an impact factor of 1.622. By this metric, it has since 2024 been the world’s top-ranked interdisciplinary journal in the field. The journal’s extended (5-year) impact factor is 1.064.
